Amy Lively ~ Speaking

I knocked on my neighbors’ doors–
and lived to tell about it!

I help women discover natural ways to get to know their neighbors without being weird. They will learn how to overcome their fears about sharing their faith and find fulfillment in obeying Christ’s #2 command.

My passion is missional living, and I speak on a variety of topics to help women live with integrity in their own homes. My speaking and teaching are appropriate for multi-denominational, multi-generational audiences. Because of the unique nature of neighborhood ministry, I am accustomed to teaching women who belong to Baptist, Episcopal, Lutheran, Methodist, Catholic, Nazarene, Church of Christ and Church of God churches as well as non-denominational congregations.

I am a 7-time graduate of the Proverbs 31 She Speaks Conference and the She Speaks Intensive Conference.

Please call me at (740) 654-5423 or to talk about your heart for your neighborhood and community! I will work with your goals, theme and budget to provide a moving message for your group.

Topics

  • The End Is Near The Mayans may have been wrong, but the Bible promises, “The end of the world is coming soon!” (1 Peter 4:7  NLT). We don’t know when the world will end, but we can learn four shocking strategies for surviving the end times and know what kind of people we should be in the meantime.
  • Women Behaving Wisely I was having a fit in my family room, telling God (no, yelling at God) about my problems, demanding to know what He was going to do about them, and begging to know when He was going to get around to it. His answer was Psalm 101:2, “I will be careful to lead a blameless life— when will you come to me? I will conduct the affairs of my house with a blameless heart.” Explore Psalm 101, “the householder’s psalm,” a pledge to behave wisely in our own homes.
  • His Glory, Her Story We are made in the image of God to reveal His glory through our stories. Understand how the Trinity of God—Father, Spirit and Son—is reflected in the trichotomy of man—heart, soul and strength—and how we can shine His love into our homes.
  • Amazing Graciousness Minutes after I prayed, “Lord, I want to be known for gracious words like You were,” I found myself snipping at a poor bank teller who made me wait too long in line. I”m tired of collecting “what-not-to-do” examples and want to make people marvel at my calm, kind responses to inconvenience and conflict. Learn how to live out Luke 4:22: “Everyone spoke well of him and was amazed by the gracious words that came from his lips.”

  • “I am your biggest fan and believe in your ministry.  I am asking the Lord if we can do a full roll out here.  I know that it works and lives are changed.  Thank you for your faithfulness.  I know that God will continue to pour out His blessings on you.  Obedience=Blessings, follow Him!”
  • “We loved having you at Prestonwood….MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!”
  • “We were overwhelmingly blessed and inspired by your words. I believe that our prayers were answered when we prayed that you would allow God to speak through you.  Not your word but His!!!  I ran into one of our ladies yesterday and she was so excited!  First she said how convicted she was that she had never reached out to her neighbors.  But then she followed up with, ‘After hearing Amy, I am motivated because she made it sound so simple. I can do this!’  Another of our group leaders is going to start a women’s bible study in her home.  I know there will be many more stories just like these.  Thank you so much for being obedient to the Lord when he laid this on your heart.  I believe that many will continue to be challenged (including myself) to step out, reach out and minister to their neighbors!”
  • “Amy, your calm and loving voice and funny demeanor was refreshing and very uplifting.  It was so nice to hear this at a women’s program. I applaud you. I loved you very much and you have give me at least the fire to send those little cards out that I used to do back a few years ago but stopped doing because I never heard anything back from them.  I now know that it’s not the response I get out of it but the love I send in the first place.  Thank you so much.  God Bless you and your family and the ‘holy dog.’”
  • “Wonderful evening!!! Thoroughly enjoyed Amy Lively!  So perfect for women of any age, any stage!”
  • “It was not what I expected but was very good!  The speaker was excellent – from her personal testimony and experience.  Thank you for planning and searching for relevant speakers!”
  • “I really enjoyed the seminar.  The speaker was dynamic and encouraging.  She inspired me in a somewhat different ministry than my neighborhood though. I am feeling called to start a mother/daughter Bible study with my 13 year old daughter and the girls at her school.”
  • “Great! Thanks for the inspiring and creative ideas about reaching my neighbors.  I appreciated Amy Lively’s story so much!”
  • “Showed me I definitely have lots of room for improvement on knowing my neighbors.”
  • “I did not want to go but I’m glad I did!  I really enjoyed Amy and what she had to say.  Very practical, very challenging; great ideas and encouragement that one small step of obedience can make a difference.”
  • “Loved it! That day I went out and introduced myself to a language barrier neighbor. I will also be having coffee with another neighbor tomorrow in my home and her children will come play with me .”
  • “I have to tell you that I was so very touched by your speaking at First Baptist of Euless last night.  I was a guest and this is not my usual church. I can say that your Cafe is such a wonderful thing and was exactly what I needed to hear last night.  I know many of my neighbors and yet I don’t talk with them.”
  • “Thanks so much for speaking with the ladies tonight.  I totally agree with you about not knowing my neighbors … and your comments about our dependence on Facebook to communicate.  I hope to implement your suggestions.  (I enjoyed having you sit at our dinner table, too.)”
